Any ideas out there for a Loren Kellen Sisyphus Memorial Sled?
I asked if Adam might be Sisyphus with the Zeus chest, boulder and grey beard to start the thing off. I think we should have someone be Sisyphus every year to open the event.
Some kind of a transformation thing – the boulder rolls down the hill, but then turns into… a bright RED snowman out on the lake (with a funny hat!)… or a comet that flies off into the heavens (balloon?)
I LOVE winter and so many people don’t. Winter lasts a very long time in Minnesota, so anything that gets people out and having a good time is just awesome in my opinion. Everyone had huge smiles on their faces. It was just terrific. Also, my daughter’s birthday is Jan 23 and we have often had sledding parties for her birthday. Next year’s Art Sled Rally is on her birthday and I am pretty sure she will be there. What a fantastic birthday party that will be!!! I will definitely have a sled in it.

The Art sled Rally continues to feed a place inside me that longs for transcendent visual spectacle and collective human experience of joy. I am fortunate to be in this city and at this time with these people. It also gives me great hope that such events are happening all over the world, as it is this medicine that celebrates our ;deeply personal capacity for actualization of dream ,courage in the decent, and being, regardless of success or failure.I am appreciative of all the energies ,commitment and care that go into making such an event . I hope that all who enjoyed themselves at the event will help to support it in some way. I found that a hot egg sandwich before, enhanced the event .Thank you Nick ,thank you Shelley, thank you Julian, thank you Brent ,thank you Leigh, thank you Xena, and Ethan, thank you Chris ,thank you Peter, thank you John, and Micheal, and Sue, and Dave ,and Krista, and Ryan ,and Loren and Lisa ,all the sponsors large and small you have brought good medicine to this winter.
